Susan Wright is the managing partner at Whitaker Firth LLP and in charge of the Private Client Department.
Following graduation with a 2:1 degree in Law Susan then went on to qualify as a Registered General Nurse. After having three children she decided to return to a legal career and undertook the Post Graduate Diploma in Law, passed with commendation, followed by the Legal Practice Course which she passed with Distinction. Susan qualified as a solicitor in 2001.
In 2003 she joined Whitaker Firth, becoming a partner in 2006. In 2008 Susan became the first solicitor in Bradford to qualify as a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, and is currently the only fully accredited member in Bradford and Guiseley. Susan is regularly invited to talk to organisations and groups about her work and the law relating to it.
Having initially obtained a BA (Hons) degree in History, Alexandra decided to pursue a career in Law. She joined this firm in 2011 and worked full time whilst studying the Post Graduate Diploma in Law at Leeds Metropolitan University. Having passed this course Alexandra then went on to study the Legal Practice Course which she successfully passed. Alexandra completed her training contract with Whitaker Firth and qualified as a solicitor in July 2016. Following qualification Alexandra has specialised in Private Client work and has developed her knowledge with the help of Zoe and Susan in Wills and Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration. She also advises clients on Court of Protection matters and elderly clients on matters such as Nursing Home fees.
Alexandra became a partner in 2017. She will be undertaking the examinations to become a fully accredited member of SFE in 2019.
Zoe joined the team at Whitaker Firth in 2018. She graduated as a Bachelor of Laws from Sheffield Hallam University and went on to undertake the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law at York. Following her training contract, Zoe qualified as a solicitor in 2005.
Since qualification Zoe has specialised exclusively in Private Client work bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team. She is currently studying for the STEP qualification and will be taking the exams to become a fully accredited member of SFE in 2019.
Legal Executive / Head of Property
Antonia has been qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive since 2008 having trained and qualified with a top Legal 500 law firm in Leeds. Antonia has extensive knowledge and experience of all aspects of residential property law. Antonia joined Whitaker Firth in 2016 and runs the property division in the firms Guiseley office.
